This shoot and advertising concept by Saatchi Masius combines the idea of how motivation in your personal life for a passion or hobby can improve performance in the professional workplace. Charlie’s imaginative styling and Claire’s attention to hair and make up definitely complements Iain’s expert eye behind the lens.

Shot at Hengistbury Head in Bournemouth, making good use of a friends’ beach hut, this test shoot gave Charlie the chance to experiment with kids’ styling and grow her portfolio. We love the smiles and energy, makes us look forward to summery days!

In anticipation of the much awaited launch of the PS4, this nostalgic video takes us back in time to the release of the PS1 right up to the new system, featuring some of the consoles most iconic games such as Tekken and Resident Evil. The mammoth nature of the project definitely kept Charlie busy and she did a fantastic job tracing changes in decor from 1995 right up to the present day. Absolutely brilliant work Charlie, well-worthy of all the praise you’ve been getting.
Full of vibrancy and colour, Charlie’s delicate and girly styling compliments the bright late summer sun which Steve has captured so well. I think these are making us all a little nostalgic for our youth in the office.
This colourful and happy shoot for Ritz Crackers was produced by our team at LPA Production and photographed by former LPA Futures photographer Olly Burn (now represented by Making Pictures). After we scouted the location and cast the models, our talented girls at LPA Style completed the picture: styling by Charlie Cave and hair and make-up by Ellie Tobin.
If you are either commissioning photography or being commissioned, LPA Production can take care of any or every element of your shoot, so just give us a call!

Promoting the London Overground (that’s the orange line if you don’t know!), Owen’s images are simple and beautiful and would definitely catch our eye whilst waiting for a train. Charlie’s work is impeccable as always, sourcing unusual props such as DJ decks and commissioning a hand made belt to look like the orange overground line! Charlie even provided the writing which accompanies the compass. Lovely work Ms Cave!
We’ve spent 5 minutes with people in every area of the photographic industry, from model bookers to animal talent agents. For our first chat of 2013, we thought we’d stay a little closer to home and caught up with the inimitable Charlie Cave of LPA Style. With a wealth of experience in the fashion and retail industry, Charlie is one of the most creative stylists in the business. Here is what she had to say….
- Tell us a bit about yourself and what you do?
I am a stylist for both stills and TV commercials. My work involves researching, mood-boards, props, set builds and wardrobe. I am also a mother to two amazing little girls. Unfortuately both work and children have been most unkind to the bags under my eyes.
- How did you become a stylist?
Whilst at university, I did work experience for the jewellery designer Tom Binns in New York where I met several fashion stylists. I become really interested in the idea of styling, but found the fashion industry incredibly scary. So I decided to try and get experience in interior styling. After graduating, I worked at Habitat and Liberty department stores doing visual merchandising and window displays. During this time I also did lots of assisting, then after several years I started getting my own jobs. I was very lucky to work with two brilliant stylists/journalists who took me under their wing, Vinny Lee & Margaret Caselton. They taught me so much – I am very grateful to them.
- What are the main skills you need to be a commercial stylist?
You need to be extremely organised, with good knowledge of all the prop houses, stores etc. An ability to get on well with people and most importantly understand the brief is key.
Steve snapped these fun, summery and natural images whilst supremo stylist Charlie provided these fabulous looks. These are making everyone in the office very broody!
Patrick Harrison has recently been working with the General Medical Council (GMC), shooting this heartwarming and tender set of images.
Shot for the GMC’s in-house material, LPA sent in a great team: in addition to Patrick, Charlie Cave provided the styling while Claire Louise supplied hair and make-up to our doctors and patients for the day. The result is a beautiful set of images which capture the power of humanity.
