Sam Norman / London Dungeons / Gary Salter

April 23, 2013

LPA Style’s Sam Norman has recently been shooting with Gary Salter (represented by Horton-Stephens) on an exciting project for Inferno which was commissioned by London Dungeons.

Known for her expertise in special effects, the project suited Sam perfectly and the fantastic final images of witches, ghouls and murderers among others speak for themselves. We definitely wouldn’t want to be in a dark alley alone with any of this lot!

LPA Style / Liam Arthur / Polar Explorers

February 4, 2013

LPA Style’s Sam Norman and Alice Timms have recently been shooting with photographer Liam Arthur, capturing these fabulous portraits of ‘polar explorers’.

Inspired by the fabulous tales of intrepid explorers such as Scott and Amundsen, Liam took these mesmerising portraits which hark back to the ‘race to the poles’ in the early twentieth century. Alice provided the great period polar wardrobe whilst Sam created the amazingly icy hair and make-up looks.

LPA Style / Sam Norman / Album Covers

November 21, 2012

LPA Style hair and make-up artist Sam Norman has been busy recently creating some great looks for a couple of fabulous album covers.

The already iconic cover for The Vaccines album, ‘Come of Age’, was shot by the super-talented Christaan Felber whilst Sam did the great looks on this all-female version of the band. Sam too provided the beautifully ethereal hair and make-up for Beth Orton’s ‘Sugaring Season’ which was shot by the lovely Jo Metson Scott. Ruth Higginbotham provided the great styling for both shoots. Loving the work Ms Norman!

Happy 10th Anniversary LPA!

September 17, 2012

It’s official, Lisa Pritchard Agency is 10 years old this year!

Established in 2002, LPA quickly grew to become one of the UK’s leading photographers agents and shoot producers and, we are proud to say, maintains it’s stronghold as the most innovative, professional and helpful agent in town!

So do excuse us while we blow our own trumpet a little …

Over the last decade we’ve worked with some amazing clients, photographers and crew, tackled some of the most challenging briefs (and budgets!) and organised thousands of seamless photoshoots of all shapes and sizes.

Starting out with just a handful of photographers, several of which are still with us today ( Iain Crockart, Michael Heffernan and Nick Daly) the agency has expanded over the years to incorporate some exciting divisions, including LPA Futures, LPA Style and LPA Production.

Energy, experience and efficiency, that’s what we’re known for. Aside from that we can lay claim to some very worthwhile initiatives. We support and spearhead up and coming talent with LPA Futures and the LPA Student Challenges, Lisa has written a bestselling book ”Setting Up a Successful Photography Business”,  earned a reputation as an engaging guest speaker and established the very popular Ask an Agent column. But last, and certainly not least, we wouldn’t be where we are today if it wasn’t for the A team of staff that we have managed to maintain over the years. Jenny and Kyle in the early days ; then Holly, Alex, Luke and Bridget helped take LPA to the next level and the current creme de la creme  – production supremos Dani and Lauren, marketing whizz Alexa, newest member and fab agency assistant Tom and of course the magnificent ‘accounts department’ Georgina who has been with us from the start.

And so, lets raise a toast to 10 years of LPA and commemorate with 10 anniversary images. An image for each year, each one will depict the traditional wedding anniversary material or gift for that year. Apparently as the years go on the gifts become more precious and durable – just like LPA! Also, just like a successful marriage, we know it takes a lot of hard graft and team work to keep doing what we do so well!

First up for year one is an image by Sam Stowell and the gift of paper! We’ll bring you more anniversary gifts each week so watch this space…

LPA Style / Moving Image / Sony Futurescapes

April 3, 2012

Last year LPA Style’s hair and make-up artist Sam Norman and LPA stylist Charlotte Williams worked on an exciting series of moving image pieces with the creative digital agency Large Blue and Sony. The concept behind the series of short films named ‘Futurescapes’ was to imagine what the future might be like in 2025 and how technology might support new lifestyles. Charlotte tells us a bit about what it was like:

‘Working on the Futurescapes project was a lot of fun once I had got my head around the brief. I was given four scenarios of how one woman’s life might be in the future, each one very different to the next. The challenge for Sam and I was to create four very different looks to reflect the lifestyle of each future. I particularly enjoyed sourcing the clothes and accessories for the fashion designer’s look in scenario 1: http://vimeo.com/39696098. One of the highlights of this shoot was working in some fantastic locations, my favourite being the glass fronted house overlooking Highgate cemetery.’

You can see all 4 versions of the Futurescapes on our vimeo page: http://vimeo.com/user6804207/videos

Take a look at the trailer below to see a snippet of each film. Great work ladies!

Sam Norman / LPA Style / Absolute Radio

March 7, 2012

One of LPA Style’s hair and make-up artists, Sam Norman, recently worked with photographer Gary Salter and Still Productions on a shoot for Absolute Radio.

The shoot was to promote the presenters of the station and their shows for the year. This included Ian Wright, Dave Gorman, Christian O’Connell and Frank Skinner. You can see the final images at bus stops and buildings everywhere. Sam Norman tells us a bit about this fun filled shoot…

” I loved doing this shoot, everyone was brilliant. Shooting with Gary is always a great experience, he is calm, friendly and his lighting is always incredible. Sylvie and Becky of Still Productions put the whole shoot together and kept everyone organised which is needed on a busy shoot with lots of people like this! It was a day of making the presenters faces look dirty, I used lots of glycerine to create sweat and Skin Illustrator to create marks and red rings under Franks eyes. I see the shoot everywhere I go! The highlight of the day was singing the Home and Away theme tune with Frank Skinner whilst we took his make-up off.”
